As the Head of Data Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our data revolution, leading a team of 15+ skilled engineers and architecting solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights. This is a high-impact role that requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.

Your tasks

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data integration and transformation solutions using Palantir Foundry AIP
  • Drive innovation in data engineering, expanding the use of Palantir Foundry AIP
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
  • Enforce best practices for consistency, scalability, and efficiency across teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering with business goals
  • Mentor and develop a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Lead data strategy creation to drive business value and competitive advantage
  • Supervise development projects, ensuring successful delivery of technical solutions
  • Lead technical workshops for data-driven initiatives across the organisation
  • Support company-wide Palantir Foundry adoption programs

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Extensive experience with Palantir Foundry AIP and its best practices
  • Proven ability to lead and scale data engineering teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and experience implementing governance frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines at scale
  • Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies
  • Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies
  • Proficient in English, German is a plus

Recruiting Process
  • After checking your documents, there will be a short call for initial clarifications and to make an appointment
  • This is followed by a video call with Merlin Bauer, Head of Data Platforms and Franziska Wildi, Recruiting Specialist (duration approx. 45 to 60 minutes)
  • The next step is a second on-site interview and you get to know the team
  • And then, at best, the contract offer will already be made
