As the Head of Data Engineering, you will be at the forefront of our data revolution, leading a team of 15+ skilled engineers and architecting solutions that turn raw data into actionable insights. This is a high-impact role that requires technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills.
Your tasks
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data integration and transformation solutions using Palantir Foundry AIP
- Drive innovation in data engineering, expanding the use of Palantir Foundry AIP
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
- Enforce best practices for consistency, scalability, and efficiency across teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering with business goals
- Mentor and develop a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Lead data strategy creation to drive business value and competitive advantage
- Supervise development projects, ensuring successful delivery of technical solutions
- Lead technical workshops for data-driven initiatives across the organisation
- Support company-wide Palantir Foundry adoption programs
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Extensive experience with Palantir Foundry AIP and its best practices
- Proven ability to lead and scale data engineering teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and experience implementing governance frameworks
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines at scale
- Proficiency in data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies
- Proficient in English, German is a plus
