Role and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Ringier data platform strategies and roadmap development to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies. Ability to translate business concepts into technical terms. Understand and communicate company goals and objectives
  • Apply creative approaches to determine technical solutions that further business goals, keeping in mind performance, reliability, scalability, usability, security, extensibility, and cost
  • Maintain broad technical and solution knowledge in software application, cloud computing, data streaming, security and business architecture areas
  • Provide mentorship and help team growth especially on the technical side
  • Build fast prototypes to validate concepts or new technologies
Profile
  • A degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering or a comparable degree program
  • A minimum of 8 years of software development experience including 5+ years of application or platform architecture experience
  • Proven extensive experience in architecture design and development of large scale platforms and applications
  • Deep understanding of the design patterns of serverless architecture and cloud-native applications at Amazon Web Services (beyond EC2, RDS, S3)
  • Extensive hands-on design/coding skills using serious languages like Python, Java, or Node.js
  • Strong on elegant coding, can write very solid prototypes or core components quickly
