The Ringier International Marketplaces Unit (RIMU) is responsible for the group-wide portfolio of digital marketplaces consisting of over 60 platforms and employing more than 2,300 people in Switzerland, Central Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia. The portfolio covers leading Swiss brands such as AutoScout24, Homegate.ch or Ricardo (consolidated under the roof of the newly established Swiss Marketplace Group) as well as leading international players such as The African Talent Company (TATC). The Marketplaces Unit is the fastest-growing division of the Ringier Group and our services are used by millions of users worldwide.
For the RIMU management team, based at our corporate headquarters in Zurich Seefeld, we are looking per 1 March 2023 or by arrangement for an ambitious and highly motivated Strategy Consulting / Business Development Intern for 3-9 months.
Your tasks
- Lead your own market research and competitive analysis projects, serving as a foundation for RIMU's strategic decision-making process
- Support the RIMU team in rolling out strategic initiatives in international markets such as Central Eastern Europe and Africa
- Develop analyses, concepts and presentations for the RIMU management team
- Perform due diligence on internal targets for the international marketplaces portfolio
- Facilitate decision-making of the Group Executive Board through market research and briefings
- Participate in the preparation and execution of workshops and meetings
Your profile
- A bachelor's or a master's degree, preferably in business/economics
- Eligibility to work in Switzerland
- A positive, open-minded, curious and hands-on mentality
- A structured way of working as well as strong analytical and reflective skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects and working in collaboration with different stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A very good command of English (spoken and written), with German being a plus
- A keen interest in the digital industry and/or ideally have already gained some experience in this field
